Since 1938, the Kluang Railway Station Coffeeshop in Johor has beckoned with its famous charcoal fire-toasted buns and traditionally roasted coffee that cost a mere 15sen a cup then.

The fragrant brew became so popular that it soon gained a stream of loyal fans, among whom was Malaysia’s first Prime Minister.
